You need to read more books
Reading is one of the most important ways to acquire
knowledge.
The knowledge you gain is cumulative and grows exponentially. Learning new things and solving new problems is easier when you have a strong knowledge base. Reading a wide range of books will help increase your general knowledge. Specific knowledge can be gained by an in-depth study of a topic or subject. Filling your brain with new facts, new information, and new ideas will make you a better interlocutor because you always have something interesting to share.
You can think of a book as a tree of knowledge, with some
basic concepts forming the trunk and details forming the branches. You can learn
more and improve reading comprehension by "linking branches" and
integrating your current book with other knowledge trees.
I won't detail all the reasons why reading books (and not
just internet articles or magazines) is good for your brain. I think by reading
this article, you will be convinced that there is value in reading more. If you
need some convincing, check this out. It might just convince you.
Reading more books can be fun and rewarding.
Even more interesting, reading books will cost less and keep you entertained for longer. Especially at the local library, you can display many exciting novels. You can find and have fun with books on any topic that interests you.
From self-help books to reading novels, there are many ways
to learn more about life. Even if you're feeling down, you can read
inspirational biographies to lift your spirits. One of the great things about
reading books is that the knowledge you gain from books is never taken away.
Unlike worldly possessions, your knowledge will stay with you until the end of
time.
You might also be thinking about what you need to give up to
make room for more reading in your life. If you're not spending every day doing
anything right now, other activities will inevitably be sidelined as you read
more books. You can deal with this situation head-on by reviewing your routine
and identifying bad habits you can break. Just as finding new reading clues can
be helpful, you can try removing clues for habits you don't want, such as: for
example, keeping your TV remote out of sight in a drawer, or setting a rule not
to bring your phone to your bed. "It's very useful to realize that
[forming a new habit] is a replacement process," Gardner said. "But
you have to come up with your own strategies based on old behaviors and clues
to start thinking about how to break old habits."
I personally find it difficult to read books, but I've committed to starting a book every two months. To use my imagination and creativity, I also made the decision to write fiction novels. The introduction to my second book, Mirror, a horror book, is provided here.
Please let me know below if you think I should keep writing or if you have any suggestions for the types of novels you enjoy reading.
MIRROR (The Unknown Territory)
The face slowly morphs into that of Rusty’s father. Wider
angle. We are in a cramped funeral
parlor. Rusty sits across from his
father dressed in a black suit. His
mother, Ruth, is behind him in a black dress.
She dons a black veil over her face.
There is an urn in the middle.
Rusty reaches to touch his father’s fingers, when suddenly. His father’s hand jerks in a violent reflex,
grabbing at his chest. A high-pitched wheezing can be heard. His father slowly curled his hand into his
chest with each breath. It looks like
his father is struggling for each breath.
Finally, Rusty forces his fingers
closer to his father’s hand. He has a
glaze of tears. He pulls back. He looks down at his father. His father’s eyes are closed. He takes one last gasp, then falls lifeless
to the casket. His family mutes their
screaming. Moments later, his father’s
coffin lowers to the ground. When the
coffin is lowered, there’s the wheezing sound again. It’s louder this time, sounding more
desperate like he’s actually fighting for every breath. The crowd tries to fight their way closer but
is held back by a line of cemetery workers.
Near the grave site, a priest turns to the crowd.
He gestures with his hand and the crowd slowly backs away.
Once the crowd is gone, the priest finishes the ceremony........... To be continued
Here is a list of the first five novels I intend to read:
Please include any recommendations for books I should also read in the
